What To Do With All These Beds?
Background info: I have 2.5 rooms at my place. One is my bedroom, the other is the baby’s room, and the .5 is supposed to be a guest room (for my mom)/office (after she leaves) but it’s still pretty full of stuff that doesn’t belong to me.
The Story: When David and I got married we purchased a queen size bed. We had it in our apartment for a year and when we moved into his parent’s house, we couldn’t get it down the stairs. The box spring was too big. So, we put it in storage for a year and a half and recently gave it away to couple we met at the doctor’s office (one of David’s talents: identifying strangers’ needs and fulfilling them). Got all that?
Since we couldn’t move our queen size bed into the house, we’ve been sleeping on a full size bed that was here before and belongs to David’s parents. It’s small, and it’s not that comfortable. We’ve been wanting to buy a king size bed for a long time, because those come with two separate boxes. We recently got one from David’s sister.
Now we have a twin size bed (which was supposed to go in the .5 room that isn’t ready yet), a full size bed (which we’re still sleeping on despite having a much nicer bed just lying around) and a king size bed (which is sitting in the living room waiting for the situation with the two other beds to be resolved).
I want to get rid of the full size bed, just give it away and then replace it when I move out. That way, they get rid of an old icky bed, someone gets some use out of it, and at the end of the day they get a brand new bed. The twin size bed, I can’t replace. I am not sure where I’d even get a bed like that, but it’s the most comfortable thing in the Universe. So that one needs to be carefully stored. It can probably stay in the house with us. I just have to find a way to keep it out of the way. For now I am looking for a home for a full size bed.
