Making a Crib is NOT Fun To Do
We got our crib in the mail today. It was fah-bulous. It weighed 80 lbs, and it came in a flat, flat box. We took the pieces downstairs and decided that putting it together in the living room was a good idea. I will not bother to tell you all that I thought this wasn’t a good idea, that I thought we should take it into the baby’s room and put it together there. I will not tell you about how David insisted this was not necessary, as we could easily move it into the room later, and we’d have more room to put it together in the living room.
Half an hour later, when the crib was totally and completely put together, we started to move it into the baby’s room. It didn’t work. It was too big. Too big I tells ya. So we had to take most of it apart and move it in pieces. It was loads of fun. But at least now it’s all done, put together and in the right room. We just need to go mattress shopping.
Of course, don’t know where we’re going to put the bed that is also in that room, propped up against the wall… we’re running out of rooms.
